Private Dermatology | Online Dermatologist
If you’re concerned about a skin condition such as eczema, acne, moles or skin lesions, you should get it checked out by a medical expert as soon as possible. However, we’re aware of how difficult it can be to see an expert dermatologist at short notice. That’s why we are offering our online dermatologist service so you can get your skin condition investigated by our competent skin specialists quickly.
With our tele-dermatology services, you simply upload a photo of the concerned area from your smartphone and answer a few questions, it’s that easy! This convenient approach means you get the answers you need fast so you’re never left waiting or worrying.
After submitting a photo of your skin concern from your smartphone, you’ll be asked to fill in a guided questionnaire to better understand your case. Our consultant dermatologist will review your condition and provide you with a comprehensive report and answer any queries.
Please be aware that this is a triage service and, in some instances, an additional face-to-face appointment with our in-house dermatology consultant or GPs may be required.

What is Online Dermatology?
Our online dermatology service allows you to get quick medical advice from a consultant dermatologist who has vast experience in most skin conditions, just by assessing your clinical photo(s) and brief description of symptoms. Although many skin issues can be diagnosed virtually without seeing a specialist face-to-face, our consultants may sometimes advise you to book an appointment with our in-house dermatology consultant or GPs in the traditional way. This ensures not only the best treatment possible, but also enables procedures which could not otherwise be delivered, such as minor skin surgery, swabs or prescriptions. Otherwise, as part of your consultation, you will receive a comprehensive report with a treatment plan and plenty of useful advice to help you manage your condition.
How does our online dermatologist service work?
Our online dermatology is the quickest way to get expert medical advice and access to in-depth treatment plans to solve your skin concerns, without the need to come into the clinic:
- Complete the self-referral process by clicking one of the buttons on this page.
- You will then receive a welcome email where you will be asked to set up an account, and submit some basic information about your skin concern including pictures of the area. You can simply take the picture using any smartphone camera or decent digital camera and then upload the images.
- Once you’ve submitted your images, you get a response within 72 hours. A private dermatology consultant will take a look at the area you are worried about and complete a detailed report including analysis and recommendations. This document will be shared with you, your GP (if requested) and our specialist Dermatology Nurse. This will either reassure you that no further action is required or recommend an additional appointment with our in-house dermatology consultant for further investigation and treatment.
- 4. If you do require further investigation, our Dermatology Nurse will talk you through the options available and answer any questions you have. Prescriptions may also be recommended, which can be easily arranged by one of our GPs.
Please note with our online dermatologist service, there is no additional cost and there is no need to come into the clinic unless further treatment is needed.
